100 Year Old Ebel Watches Flourish at The Watchery

The Watchery, known for selling some of the hottest brands on the market, is spotlighting its Ebel line for the watch brand's 100th anniversary. Available at TheWatchery.com, The Watchery stocks Ebel, Concord, and Chopard watches, among others.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of fine watchmaker Ebel, one of the top brands sold at The Watchery. Joined by other timepiece superstars like Cartier and Chopard, Ebel is one of the most popular watch brands on the market.

"This is a huge year for Ebel. It marks the brand's centennial - that's 100 great years of making beautiful watches. The Watchery is proud to offer a wide selection of Ebel watches for men and women, from the sleek Classic Wave collection to the elegant Brisilia watches," said Joseph Levy, president of The Watchery.

Founded in 1911 by Eugene Blum and Alice Levy, Ebel is one in a long line of watch companies launched in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the former world capital of the watchmaking industry. Calling themselves "The Architects of Time," the great minds of Ebel embrace sculptural, elegant designs to produce timepieces of the highest quality.

Comprised of nearly 20 different collections, Ebel has something for everyone. The brand's watches range from casual styles, appropriate for day-to-day wear, to the more extravagant looks, perfect for a special occasion or night on the town.

The women's Discovery #9087321/5665P, for example, is neither too fussy nor plain, but the perfect fusion of informal elegance and class. With a stainless steel case and bracelet, this Discovery watch features two sets of Arabic numerals - one for hours, the other to mark every ten minutes.

On that same token, the men's Brasilia #9255M41/6235134, combines a classic set of silver Roman numerals with a somewhat trendier brown leather alligator strap, perfecting the look with a stainless steal portrait case. The finished product is both sophisticated and versatile, ideal for a day at the office or an afternoon on the golf course.

"The watches Ebel produces are completely in line with The Watchery's philosophy - they're gorgeous, diverse, and, thanks to us, more affordable than usual. The timepieces help round out an already impressive collection of watch brands, including Chopard, Wyler Geneve, and Ulysse Nardin, all of which embody the image The Watchery strives to project. Ebel watches fit in perfectly," said Levy.
