Healthy Music Matters, is a grassroots organization Founded by Toni Washingtin and Rhonda Lancaster. The organization focuses on assisting local entertainers with emergency situations. Healthy Music Matters will hold it's 10th Annual Versatility Entertainment and Image Awards Ceremony. The event will take place at Club La Rose located at 5531 Germantown Ave. in historic Germantown This event is scheduled for Friday December 10, 2010 from 7pm to 10pm and is expected to be attended by many of the areas finest local talent many of whom have traveled the world. Healthy Music Matters has played an important role regarding emergency situations with entertainers, organizing fundraisers and volunteering music services for community based events.
Among this years recipients will be piano player Adam Faulk, Producer/promoter Chris Hurst of Chris Hurst Productions, Producer/promoter Ashley Scott of Philash Entertainment Group, Publisher Earl Harvey, bass player/ producer Brett Jolly who has played behind national and international talents including Bonnie Raitt, Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin, The Whispers, Natalie Cole, Dionne Warwick, The Delphonics and a host of others. This years Entertainment will consist of a local group called Freestyle lead by Philly native and pianist Leroy (Shubaby) Schuler, founder of The American Musicians Resource Network in Philadelphia. The group also includes bass player Jan Simpkins and Drummer Kerry D. Little of Coatesville Pennsylvania who was once voted one of Coatesville best drummers.

The event which was started to promote positive relations among entertainers and venue owners and recognize people who play major roles in bringing live entertainment to the public seems to be finally making a mark. Over 150 people have received this award thus far. In the past Healthy Music Matters has acknowledged many of the areas most established and popular performers. The award covers several genres. Everyone is invited to attend this special event.

Ms. Washingtin also produces an internet show called LimeLight Locals. The show was started as a means to shine the spotlight on local talent and coming businesses. For more information, please contact Toni Washingtin at 267-984-1368 .
