$12B in Insurance Loss Prompts San Francisco's California Wildfire Litigation Conference, February 26, Featuring RHP Risk Management's Randy McClure - 'Smoke and Soot Impact: 50 Shades of Gray'

RHP Risk Management, an Occupational Safety and Health consulting firm based in Chicago, Illinois, with offices in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Tennesee, Idaho and California, announced today that Randy McClure, a Principal of the firm, will be speaking February 26, 2018, at the California Wildfire Litigation Conference: Strategic Overview of The North Bay Fires. The conference is hosted by HarrisMartin Publishing, a leading legal publisher, and will address the 2017 California wildfire season, which was the costliest natural disaster on record. The conference will be held at the Hotel Nikko San Francisco. 

The conference will look at a variety of legal issues associated with the North Bay and Thomas fires. McClure’s presentation, scheduled for 1:30 PM, will provide an overview of residential risk assessment strategies and will explore the "50 shades of gray" associated with quantifying risk. 

The North Bay Fires impacted 8 counties and consumed 245,000 acres, with 8,700 structures burned and 23 fatalities. The Thomas fire in southern California was the largest wildfire ever recorded in California and caused more than an estimated $23 billion in damages.  

Randy McClure has 37 years of industrial hygiene and safety experience. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with extensive experience conducting exposure assessments, indoor air quality investigations, safety and health auditing, and leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, business leaders, and attorneys in performing accident investigations and public policy analysis. Mr. McClure is a Principal at the San Francisco-Berkeley office of RHP, Risk Management.

Mr. McClure is responsible for managing California operations, client relations, and business development in the areas of industrial hygiene and health and safety. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (Occupational Health); has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Utah; a Juris Doctorate Degree from Lewis and Clark Law School; and is a member in good standing of the Utah Bar Association.
