15th Annual Friends of Manna

Manna, Inc., one of the District's leading non-profit affordable housing developers, will host the 15th Annual Friends of Manna Reception & Silent Auction, with the Bill Couper, Mid-Atlantic President of Bank of America, serving as Honorary Chair.

Washington, D.C. - On Thursday October 14, 2010 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Carnegie
Institute of Washington DC - Manna, Inc., one of the District's leading non-profit affordable housing developers, will host the 15th Annual Friends of Manna Reception & Silent Auction, with the Bill Couper, Mid-Atlantic President of Bank of America, serving as Honorary Chair.

The Board of Directors of Manna, Inc. has decided to recognize annually a few local practitioners who have made major contributions to the field of affordable housing for sale to low-income families (or simply "affordable homeownership) in the Washington, DC. Manna's American Dream Award, or AMDEE, will make its debut at the 15th Annual Friends of Manna.

The winners of the first AMDEEs to be presented at tonight's 15th Annual Friends of Manna are:

• Victor Selman, former Chief Operator Officer of the DC Department of Housing
• Richard Eisen and Eric Rome- principals with the law firm of Eisen & Rome
• Robert Moore, President of the Development Corporation of Columbia Heights

George Swygert, Wells Fargo Regional President for greater Washington, D.C., will also be on-hand to present Manna with the Leading the Way Home Priority Markets Program Award from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation.

The evening will feature culinary fare courtesy of Office Catering and the musical styling of DJ Donnie Young, and of course the terrific Silent Auction featuring over 70 items from the local business community.
