1on1 Boxing Fitness Debuts First Female Fighter
Online, April 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Mesa, Ariz. - 1on1 Boxing Fitness, Mesa's premier boxing fitness facility, is pleased to announce the amateur debut of its first female fighter Analisa Lopez Saturday April 24th at Fights for a Cause The Chavez Boxing Foundation Amateur Boxing Event at LA Boxing in Phoenix.
Lopez has been training at 1on1 Boxing Fitness with owner, certified sports conditioning specialist and former professional boxer Christopher Terry. Terry has been training 11-year-old, 135 pound Lopez for her debut for the past 10 months.
"I have been putting Analisa through rigorous resistance training, coordination drills, running and traditional boxing workouts," said Terry. "Lopez is heavy-handed and strong for her age; between these factors as well as her extensive training and stamina, Lopez is more than prepared for her debut."
Lopez will be fighting a 12-year-old female fighter from Sonny's Boxing. Lopez's goal is to do her best, stay focused, put her training to work and win.
Lopez's debut will be the fourth fight for 1on1 Boxing Fitness, which has been in operation for a year and a half. Also debuting at Fights for a Cause is 1on1 Boxing Fitness fighter's 15-year-old, 200 pound Bruce Darby and 24-year-old, 200 pound Daniel Cruz.
1on1 Boxing Fitness plans to participate in several more fights leading up to the Silver Gloves State tournament in December and Silver Gloves Regional tournament early next year.
Fights for a Cause kicks off this Saturday, April 24th at 3 p.m. at 4825 E. Warner Road Phoenix, AZ 85013.
