1st Annual Bay Ridge Challenge

Brooklyn, NY- On the morning of June 25, 2011 you may find an unusual number of runners and fitness aficionados in Shore Rd Park. The 1st Annual Bay Ridge Channel will kick off at 8am and test runners and fitness lovers strength and endurance.

Registration is now open at www.badassacademy.com for the Bay Ridge Challenge which is sure to become known as Brooklyn's annual survival-of-the-fittest.

To prepare for the June 25 contest, experienced trainers are providing free strength and endurance trainings at Shore Rd Park twice a week.

Groups meet at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and 7:30p.m. on Wednesdays, Shore Rd and 79th Street for the free sessions lasting about an hour. Arrive early to pick up training tips and challenge tactics.

The Bay Ridge Challenge is an endurance race along the Brooklyn water front with great views and a challenging course. As two-member teams, competitors face off with so-called mystery challenges that test team work, mental and physical strengths.

Food and beverages, awards, music and a great challenging time will be provided for all.
