2006 Chevy HHR Owner Celebrates Birthday and 200,000 MILES

Online, September 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - (Lake Forest, CA) The owner of the milestone driven 2006 Chevy HHR is celebrating her birthday at the same time, her HHR reaches 200K miles. This Chevy HHR was brought brand new and started out with a few bumps, but eventually became a heavily driven, dependable, and well-loved auto. The first time the owner actually saw a Chevy HHR was in a car rental company at Orange County's John Wayne Airport. When she saw the car, she immediately fell in love with it. Never seeing such a car before, she asked one of the gentlemen that worked at the car rental company what type of car it was. He said it was a HHR and it stood for "hardly has room" and many people say it looks very similar to the PT Cruiser.

When it came time to purchase her own brand new car, it was very difficult to find the HHRs. She started in Cerritos Auto Mall where she found a "tricked out" HHR pristinely displayed. With the sticker price a bit too high due to the added accessories, she continued her search to various dealers throughout Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. The cars were so hard to find that one dealer actually gave her a printout of which dealers had the cars and how many. When she finally found the right HHR, she was then told by her finance company that the car had to be returned because the price did not satisfy their financing requirements. At that point, she had only had the car a few days but had already put on approximately 400 miles. Disappointed and frustrated, she headed to the internet in search of a car. Her responses were great and eventually landed with one of the best car salesman she ever met.

The owner is still in love with her car and it has served her quite well. She loves to drive and travel and felt the car definitely exceeded her needs and expectations. She had one main auto shop that helped keep her HHR in such great condition. As a female, she is so particular about quality service due to the amount of miles she drives, that she would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone. She says, "My auto mechanic is the best. I drive approximately 100 miles to see him when I need service because I know every time I go to see him, he will give me the top-of-the-line service. I am willing to test drive any car out there who wants to know how well their car can stand up when it is heavily driven on a daily basis as I do."

The Chevy HHR is manufactured by General Motors. It was originally debuted in 2005 at the L.A. Auto Show. Limited supplies were released in 2006.
