2010 Lausanne International Sports Management Conference: Bridging Research and Practice Announces its New Lineup of Speakers

CHICAGO - The Organizing Committee of the 2010 Lausanne International Sports Management Conference: Bridging Research and Practice (www.worldeventsforum.com/ismc) announced today the new lineup of speakers for the event that will be held November 4-6, 2010, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

With a specific focus on sports management, the meeting wishes to engage the community of professionals through a set of interdependent discussions between academia, associations and industry. "With this second edition of the conference, we are looking to bridge the gap between research and practice, attempting to tie the three groups into a fluent and open dialogue conducted online, face-to-face and in print," said Nico Stanculescu, President of World Events Forum, Inc., and co-convener of the event.

The event will feature a mix of top speakers from academia, industry, IOC, National Olympic Committees, Olympic Games Organizing Committees, International Federations, National Associations, as well as several international sports companies. The sessions will combine lectures, ampler panel discussions and Q&A sessions designed to allow for ampler interaction between audience and speakers. In addition to this, "we are showcasing short presentations selected from a large number of papers submitted by specialists from all around the world. We are also proud to have awarded ten scholarships which we have made possible to promote and support young talents in the field" said Emilio Pozzi, President of International Sports Events, Consultant to the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, and co-convener of the event.

The conference will be held at the Moevenpick Hotel in Lausanne, located on the beautiful lakefront of Lake Lausanne, and will feature an exclusive networking reception and a gala dinner at one of the city's prestigious locations.
