2013 Dodge Dart Arrives At Moritz Chrysler Jeep Dodge In Fort Worth

Online, July 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - An all-new model that harkens back to a different era, the Dodge Dart is a new car with a name that has some history. The first unit of the 2013 Dodge Dart exited the assembly line in May and now it's hitting Fort Worth Dodge dealerships like Moritz Chrysler Jeep Dodge.

Manufactured in Belvedere, Illinois, the all-new Dart is a small front-wheel drive car based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. While it shares the same platform, the Dodge model distinguishes itself with a frame that is wider and over a foot longer. It is the largest compact car currently available to consumers.

Most versions of the 2013 Dodge Dart will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine capable of 160 horsepower. Drivers will also have the option of a turbocharged 1.4-liter power source that is rated at the same hp but generates more torque with better fuel economy.

The top of the line edition, the Dodge Dart R/T, will not be released until later this year. It will have standard leather upholstery and be powered by a 2.4-liter 184 hp engine.

Dodge recently promoted its new 2013 Dart with a special long-form commercial that debuted during the 2012 MLB All-Star game. Entitled "How to Change Cars Forever," the 90-second spot featured music from Jay-Z and Kanye West and an appearance by Tom Brady.

Pricing for the 2013 Dodge Dart starts at a MSRP of $15,995 (excludes destination).
