2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Teaser Photos Released

Online, November 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - After much speculation and spy images inundating the interwebs in the last few weeks, Hyundai has decided that it should just release teaser photos of the upcoming 2013 Genesis Coupe. They have also confirmed that the actual production-ready car will be revealed on November 12, 2011 at the Chonnam National Yeongam F1 Speed Festival.

What you can see clearly in these images are the new front and rear fascias on the car. Up front is an entirely new grill similar to the one seen on the Veloster. New headlights and fog light housings now contain Bi-Xenons and LED accents for the DRL's. The other photo shows off the near rear body work and new full LED taillights. It also shows '380GT' as the badge indicating the return of the current cars 3.8L V6 engine.

Still speculative is what they have done to the engines. Previous rumors indicated the addition of direct injection to both the 2.0T 4-Cylidner and the 3.8L V6. What this could mean is an increase of 10% or so in power for each. This would put the 2.0T model in the neighborhood of 230 hp or more and the 3.8 model somewhere north of 330 hp. Also, expect an increase in fuel economy with the addition of direct injection as well.
