2013 Lincoln MKS Arrives In Novi At Varsity Lincoln

Online, May 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - When it debuted at the Los Angeles International Auto Show last year many on-lookers noticed that the 2013 Lincoln MKS has undergone some subtle changes over it 2012 predecessor. The most noticeable changes to the 2013 Lincoln MKS are to the exterior. With a new front fascia and grille design the 2013 MKS now exhibits a sportier look. The sedan's tail lamps are now LED and a new deck-lid and A-pillars have also been added. The 2013 MKS also rolls on new 19- or 20-inch wheels.

Standard on all new 2013 MKS sedan is a Continuously Controlled Damping system. The CCD is a quicker reacting active suspension that can calculate the optimal damping force as much as 500 times per second. This result gives the MKS sedan a tighter, more responsive drive. The CCD also works with a new Lincoln Drive control system with three settings: Normal, Comfort, and Sport. Lincoln has also introduced a new Lane Keeping System; when the vehicle begins to wander the steering wheel vibrates to alert the driver. If the system determines the driver is fatigued through a pattern of inattentive driving it will sound an alert and a coffee cup icon will illuminate on the dash.

The base MKS model has a 3.7-Liter V6 engine with a 32 horsepower bump to an even 300 and 275 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy of the 2013 MKS has also improved to 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.

Lincoln's Sync system has also been improved on the 2013 MKS with better voice interface, larger, bolder fonts, and a simplified screen for easier use. A heated steering wheel has been added as an option as well as two new wood trims and leather colors. These new features give the 2013 Lincoln MKS a more updated, luxurious interior appearance.
