2014 Global Entrepreneur Indicator Survey Shows That Atlanta Entrepreneurs Have a Positive Outlook on Business Climate

As the economy continues to grow, members of the Atlanta chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) plan to hire more employees and expect increased net profits and revenue in the next six months.

Atlanta, Georgia USA (10 April 2014) - As the economy is continuing to grow, members of the Atlanta chapter of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) say they plan to hire more employees and expect an increase in net profit and revenue in the next six months, according to recent Global Entrepreneur Indicator survey results.

EO Atlanta has 129 members and their companies have more than $13,503,037 million in total sales and employ 3,802 individuals.

"This is an incredible time for entrepreneurs. As this survey shows, the business climate is improving, allowing our members to focus on hiring more and even starting new ventures," said Paramount Incentives, LLC CEO Hanno Ekdahl, president of EO Atlanta. "We hope to spread this optimism throughout the greater Atlanta area to help local entrepreneurs drive their dreams."

Each year, EO surveys its members worldwide to put together a Global Entrepreneur Indicator, which gauges entrepreneurs' outlook on business performance, both in the past and in the future. See below for an overview of EO Atlanta's responses to the Global Entrepreneur Indicator.

Jobs: Change in number of full-time employees during the past six months, and predicted change in number of full-time employees during coming six months:
• Sixty-three percent of EO Atlanta respondents increased the number of full-time employees during the past six months, compared to 55 percent of global respondents.
• Seventy-six percent of EO Atlanta respondents expect to increase their full-time staff in the next six months, which is nine percent more than global respondents.
o Regionally, EO Atlanta expects to hire more than Birmingham (70 percent) in the next six months.
• No EO Atlanta respondents predict a decrease in full-time staff in the next six months, compared to four percent of global respondents.

Profit: Change in net profit during the past six months, and predicted change in net profit during coming six months:
• Sixty-seven percent of EO Atlanta respondents increased their net profit during the past six months, which is six percent more than global respondents.
o In September 2013, 63 percent of EO Atlanta respondents experienced an increase in revenue with a 19 percent decrease.
• Eighty-five percent of EO Atlanta respondents predict an increase in net profit over the next six months, compared to 81 percent of global respondents.
o This is four percent more than in September 2013, when 81 percent of EO Atlanta respondents predicted an increase in net profit in next six months.

Revenue: Change in a business's revenue during past six months, and predicted change in a business's revenue during coming six months:
• Seventy-six percent of EO Atlanta respondents experienced an increase in revenue over the last six months, compared to 68 percent of global respondents.
o Regionally, 62 percent of Birmingham respondents and 72 percent of Nashville respondents experienced an increase in revenue during the last six months.
• Ninety-two percent of EO Atlanta respondents predict an increase in revenue during the coming six months, compared to 83 percent of global respondents.
• No EO Atlanta respondents predicted a decrease, compared to three percent of global respondents.

Business environment: Predicted change in country's economic environment during coming six months:
• Forty-four percent of EO Atlanta respondents expect the economic environment to improve, compared to 41 percent in September 2013.
• Ninety-three percent of EO Atlanta respondents expressed willingness to start a new business, compared to 84 percent of global respondents.
