2016 BrightLane Entrepreneur Awards Video Series Now Live
Toronto, Canada, March 4, 2016 (Newswire.com) - In December 2015, BrightLane hosted the second annual BrightLane Entrepreneur Awards. Entrepreneurs from around the GTA came to compete for 6-months Membership at BrightLane, where they could grow their business. A judging panel consisting of established entrepreneurs listened to the competitors’ 60-second elevator pitches and decided whether to hear their full pitch in person, or decline with hopes of seeing them pitch again in next year’s competition.
At the end of the day, 10 winners were chosen from over 100 applications. The winners receive a 6-month free Membership at BrightLane and the chance to compete for the $25,000 grand prize and another 6-months at BrightLane’s co-work facilities on KingWest in the heart of Toronto. The winning companies were WishPad, Xesto, Reforges, StockJocks, The Raw Office, Scent Trunk, DRVEN, Scinapsis, University Hub and CubbySpot.
It was nerve racking, but it was also really fun. It was a great experience, having to go through the process of writing the pitch, practicing the pitch and then actually delivering it. It was a lot of fun and it taught me a lot about my own business and about the value proposition in what I'm offering. It really got me thinking about it. Even though it was nerve racking, I thought it was a great process to go through.
