Deer Dance: The Deer dance is most notably recognized as a style derived by the Yaqui of Southern Arizona. This photo is that of Javier Alarcon of Mexico. Azteca dancers are often major showcase specialties at our PowWows and lend to the great diversity of Indigenous America.

Warrior on Horseback: Warrior on horseback has become a mainstay at Rolling Thunder events as horse and warrior is synonymous with Native America even though the American Indian did not obtain horses until around 1540 by way of the Spaniards who brought them up through Mexico. The horse in the photo is Cloud which is adorned by Chipa who showcases a Shield Dance and reenactment from horseback.
