23rd Annual Church of Scientology Co-Sponsored Winter Wonderland Opens to Official Fanfare
Clearwater's Winter Wonderland is located at the corner of Drew and Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater. The Alpine-designed "village" is every child's magical playground where they can decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus, visit with Santa, pet baby animals, ride ponies and the Winter Wonderland train, slide down the 20-foot slide, spin in the gyroscope or jump enthusiastically in Winter Wonderland's bouncy house.
Clearwater, FL, December 11, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Church of Scientology co-sponsored Winter Wonderland opened with the help of Santa, the Clearwater Mayor, Mr. George Cretekos, the City Manager, Mr. Bill Horne, City Councilman, Mr. Bill Jonson and the Downtown City Manager, Ms. Anne Fogarty-France.
Winter Wonderland is sponsored by Clearwater Community Volunteers and the Church of Scientology. The family Holiday festival is open every day from 6 pm to 9 pm until December 20th except on Mondays and Tuesdays.
"On the day when we can fully trust each other, there will be peace on Earth."
L. Ron Hubbard, Founder of the Scientology Religion
Entry is free but there is a small fee for some rides ($1-$4) and visitors are asked to deposit food and toys for Pinellas County Public Defender's Nourish to Flourish program for chronically hungry children in the Winter Wonderland sled.
A 1960 quote by L. Ron Hubbard displayed in front of the Winter Wonderland stage promotes a message just as relevant today : “On the day when we can fully trust each other, there will be peace on Earth.”
