40th Annual Hogeye Marathon Finishers to Be Recognized
The annual Hogeye Marathon will recognize winners and finishers
Fayetteville, AR, March 7, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The 40th Annual Hogeye Marathon and Relays, scheduled for April 10, will include medals and recognition for marathon, half-marathon and relay finishers.
The Hogeye Marathon is an annual event hosted by Hogeye Marathon & Relays, Inc. The event will begin at 7 a.m at the Fayetteville Square and will include the traditional marathon, a half-marathon, relays, kid’s runs, a guest speaker, a health and fitness expo, the annual pasta dinner and more.
The event will include an awards tent where ceremonies will be held following each race to recognize overall winners and finishers. Marathon, half-marathon and relay finishers will receive medals. Marathon and half marathon finishers will receive special gifts and marathon finishers will receive a special marathon jacket.
Photographs will be taken throughout the course, finish line, awards tent and expo. Photos will be available for purchase from Run Bike Swim Photos.
The Hogeye Marathon was initiated in 1977 and is routed to include picturesque views of the Fayetteville area. The marathon will start at the Fayetteville Square and finish at Wilson Park. Bill Rodgers, National Track & Field Hall of Famer, will be the guest speaker.
80 percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local non-profit organizations and Hogeye Marathon & Relays, Inc. was recently named the area’s Outstanding Philanthropic Organization by the Association for Fundraising Professionals, Northwest Arkansas Chapter.
