5 Years Later - An Eye on Rebuilding

To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the removal from their homes in Netzer Hazani, the film Home Game, about the Netzer Hazani youth, is now available online for free for all to see at www.wejew.com/homegame

5 years ago the people from Gush Katif and the Northern Shomron were removed from their homes and there are still many people who don't understand who these people are, what they experienced and the price Israel paid, and continues to pay, for a diplomatic decision by the Israeli government in its pursuit of an eluded peace with its Arab neighbors.

An untold human story about this event is documented in the moving film Home Game, noted as "A unique and eloquent film that hits home" by the Jerusalem Post and a "Fabulous and Powerful Movie" by Professor Yisrael Aumann, an Israeli Nobel Prize Laureate.

Home Game is a captivating film about the surreal story of normal teenagers from the town of Netzer Hazani trying to continue an annual basketball tournament during a very abnormal summer in Israel - the summer of 2005 during the disengagement from Gaza. This powerful docu-drama emphasizes the journey of these teenagers and their determination to win against all odds, both on and off the court.

The families of Netzer Hazani still remain in temporary homes 5 years later and just now are they in the process of beginnint to rebuild their new community.
