5th Annual National Juried Art Competition and Exhibition in Sarasota, FL

Online, March 22, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The Katharine Butler Gallery offers a wide selection of art exhibition, styles and medium. They currently feature artwork from 17 different artist, many of whom possess an award winning skill as artist. During the month of June to July, the fine art gallery is hosting its' 5th Annual National Juried Art Competition and Exhibition, open to all artist 18 years of age or older who are also currently living in the United States of America. The gallery specializes in artist promotion, sales, exhibitions and competitions. Artist who win first or second place in this contest will receive a cash prize and exhibition. Make sure to enter your artwork before the April 17, 2010 deadline!

Adam Justice, Curator of Fine Art and responsible for the Polk Museum of Art's collections will be acting as juror for this competition. For 35 dollars, artist will be able to submit three pieces with some restrictions on size and medium. The contest asks artist to submit work in traditional medium created in the past 3 years, which will not exceed 42" in any dimension. The exhibit will be held at the Katharine Butler Gallery for viewing during June 16 to July 10, 2010. The gallery features fine art from mediums including pottery, glass, photography, oil, acrylic, jewelry, pastel, metal, silk and fabric. The gallery was started in 2000 and in 2009 this gallery received an award for "Best Gallery" from a local art newspaper who polled their local readers.
