7pds Install Hidden Induction Hearing Loop Systems at The Beatles Museum

Advanced solutions company 7pds Ltd has successfully installed nine hidden hearing induction loops in the newly opened Beatles Story experience within the 10.5 million Mersey Ferries terminal building on Liverpool's world renowned waterfront.

Currently housing the "White Feather; The Spirit of Lennon" exhibition, the induction loop systems are installed in discreet panels in the ceiling where they are always powered on and are regularly checked as part of an essential maintenance contract to ensure that they are always working.

Pete Rigg, Technical Director at 7pds explains; "I'm really pleased that we were able to work closely with the team at The Beatles Story to design a discreet induction loop system that is unique to this type of exhibition environment. All that a hearing aid user needs to do, is to stand close to the exhibit and switch their hearing aid to the 'T' position to hear the exhibits commentary clearly without the interference of background noise."

What makes this induction loop solution even more remarkable is that the commentary from each exhibit, does not interfere or overlap with any of the neighbouring exhibits. This actually makes a lot of sense, as it would be incredibly annoying and would completely spoil the experience if the hearing aid user could hear all the commentaries at the same time.

The installation of this discreet, always on induction loop system preserves the dignity of people with a hearing impairment, allowing them to be in control of when and where they utilise the systems without having to ask for assistance.

7pds are a leading UK induction loop supplier and we provide a total service, including site survey, design, installation and maintenance of our induction loop products and systems.

Our clients include The British Red Cross, The Citizens Advice Bureau, the NHS, Tendring District Council, Regenda Housing Group and many small independent businesses, such as shops, doctors surgeries and retailers throughout the UK.
