85th Anniversary of the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women
Winnipeg, Canada, August 3, 2015 (Newswire.com) - On Friday August 7th, 2015 The Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW Canada) will be celebrating its 85th anniversary during their annual general meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This year, a tour of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights happens to be on their agenda with the theme “Empowering Women – Strategies for the Prevention of Violence Against Women".
Since 1930, BPW Canada has been working steadfastly to improve the economic, political, social and employment conditions of women by developing their professional and leadership potential through education, awareness, advocacy and mentorship. The Federation is a non-sectarian, non-partisan and non-profit organization that comprises of almost 40 clubs and 600 members across the nation.

As part of an International Federation which has Consultative 1 Status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council, BPW Canada takes immense pride in its strong history and legacy.
