A Grand Re-Opening For Yorktown Jewelers

Online, November 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - After three years in business, Yorktown Jewelers is having an anniversary celebration and a re-opening after expanding their space to include a bridal suite. For a day of holiday and community celebration there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with food, drinks, and complimentary massages on Black Friday, November 25 at 3:00pm.

Yorktown Jewelers, located at 2008 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598 will be open from 8:30am - 6:30pm on Black Friday. Come by and enjoy breakfast and coffee in the morning and delicious hors d'oeuvres and mimosas in the afternoon. Throughout the day there will be several giveaways, with one lucky winner receiving an exclusive piece valued at $500!

Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to Stephanie's Mission, an organization established after Stephanie Crispinelli was tragically killed by the Haiti Earthquake while traveling on a the "Journey of Hope" mission, working and caring for the poor. Stephanie's Mission is dedicated to raising funds to continue her passion for helping the poor by supporting non-profit, US-based charities and humanitarian missions. The proceeds from purchases at Yorktown Jewelers on Black Friday will help build an elementary school in a poverty-stricken Jamaican town that Stephanie had visited multiple times.

Myron Ruales, owner of Yorktown Jewelers worked 27 years in retail before the economic downturn that made him lose his management position over 40 employees. In a difficult time, Ruales and his wife Lena decided to take a chance and open a small business. Three years later after providing honest service and a strong sense of community, Yorktown Jewelers is now a thriving business. In order to show his appreciation and help others in the community stay hopeful, Ruales constantly gives back to the community, and participates in several fundraisers throughout the year. Most recently, Yorktown Jewelers helped sponsor "Raise Your Glass" a fundraiser to assist Support Connection, an organization providing emotional support services to women, their families and friends affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
