A New, High Tech Concrete Scanning & Utility Location Service Provider Has Just Launched
Concrete Scanning Services is proud to announce their new Concrete Scanning & Utility Location Services for Sydney and Sydney surrounds. They use the latest Ground Penetrating Radar Technology (GPR) and precision Pipe & Cable Locators.
Online, March 7, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Ground Penetrating Radar allows engineers & contractors to view existing structures for post tension cables, steel reinforcement, water pipes, live power and many other utilities embedded in concrete, equipping them with the information they need to avoid damage during work cutting, drilling or coring concrete.
Concrete scanning is an important safety measure for small and large building and construction professionals, and is required for construction projects of all sizes; from residential refurbishment work, to industrial and other commercial developments and redevelopments.
Concrete Scanning Services uses the industry leading, Mala GPR equipment, which can obtain unsurpassed accuracy and data clarity when carrying out concrete evaluations and investigations. Using this equipment we can determine areas of deterioration, voids, slab thickness and steel reinforcement location and spacing.
Reo and utilities embedded within or under the concrete can be located, depth determined, marked and mapped.
Structural beams and footings can also be identified and complete reinforcing surveys can be undertaken to verify As-Built plans.
Data can be presented by marking the results on the spot or by submitting a comprehensive written report and analysis of the findings.
If a more detailed concrete investigation is required, a 3D picture of the subsurface can be created for the customer. By collecting a number of perpendicular scans a 'top down' and cross sectional view of the area can be presented. This allows the operator to look down 'through' the slab and to identify features and objects at different depths, and running in different directions.
GPR scanning is quick, safe and the most cost effective underground utility location method available, making the previous x-ray technology redundant.
Concrete Scanning Services is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. For further information please contact:
