A Rose By Any Other Name
Online, May 27, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Many famous corporations have changed their names during the course of business, some even removing the nom de plume that made them famous, i.e., Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC. Others started out with esoteric names like Brad's Drink (Pepsi-Cola) or Jerry's Guide (Yahoo). A name change for those companies propelled them into powerhouse corporations.
Now, after six years of working to create a customer base within a relatively small circle, Vintage Romance Publishing unveils its new name: Vintage Reflections Publishing. Desiring to reflect the changes taking place inside its corporate structure, the company chose Vintage Reflections as a reminder to reflect upon how far it has come and its visions of the future.
Established in February 2004, Vintage Romance Publishing, LLC began publishing digital books with a focus on classic historical romances set in the early 20th century. Growing demand for paperback books encouraged Vintage to expand its titles into print in late 2004.
In early 2008, Vintage Romance Publishing saw a demand for inspirational and children's titles as well as wholesome young adult books and expanded its portfolio to include these genres, but that change brought confusion. Did a company with romance in the title really publish children's books and young adult books?
So on June 1, 2010, in an effort to eliminate the confusion and develop a stronger brand, Vintage Romance Publishing will join the list of businesses that have changed labels, and, in doing so, it will be able to reach a broader audience looking for a book publisher with varied titles and interests.
