A Strategic Partnership Between Awesense And ELO Sistemas Eletronicos

Online, November 7, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Electric utilities seeking to find and recover revenue that is lost to inaccuracies in metered billing or power theft in Latin America can benefit from the Awesense and ELO Sistemas Eletronicos partnership, announced today.

According to the World Bank, the loss and theft of electrical energy worldwide comes at a cost of more than $200 billion every year. With losses reaching over 10% in some areas of South America, combined with the rapid increase in energy consumption, finding and eliminating these losses in the power grid is one way in which utilities are striving to help keep costs down for customers.
