Mehmet Okonsar, a Belgian pianist, composer, conductor as well as musicologist was born in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied piano, composition as well as orchestration within the Brussels Royal Conservatory and musicology with the Istanbul Technical University. His principal professors were J. Cl.
