Above the Treeline Introduces Edelweiss Print Catalog Options Powered by Ingram

Ingram Content Group Inc., and Above the Treeline, a leading software services company for the publishing industry, today announced that Ingram will power new print on demand catalog solutions for Edelweiss, Above the Treeline's interactive publisher

Ingram Content Group Inc., and Above the Treeline, a leading software services company for the publishing industry, today announced that Ingram will power new print on demand catalog solutions for Edelweiss, Above the Treeline's interactive publisher catalog system.

"Our publishing and bookselling customers, just like readers worldwide, have format preferences in how they create, discover, acquire and consume content," said John Rubin, CEO of Above the Treeline.  "It is both a physical and digital world, and through our collaborative work with Ingram, publishers will have a simple and flexible way to develop and distribute print and e-catalogs from Edelweiss."

Through an easy-to-use interface and intuitive templates, publishers will have the tools to create and print custom catalogs economically through the Edelweiss platform.

Publishers that develop and distribute print catalogs with Edelweiss can eliminate many issues associated with traditional catalog production including overprinting, and having catalogs become obsolete as a result of price and/or product changes. Through a direct integration with Ingram, catalogs will be manufactured on-demand, and distributed to the recipients that a publisher designates.

Using a network of content manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and U.K., catalogs created on Edelweiss will be printed and shipped from the Ingram facility that is closest to the consumer, providing cost and time savings.

"An on-demand print business model for catalogs will help publishers become more efficient in the distribution and production of catalog content,” said Kelly Gallagher, Vice President of Content Acquisition North America, Ingram Content Group.  "We are pleased to support Above the Treeline with this new catalog initiative for Edelweiss."

Above the Treeline's new physical catalog capability complements its existing e-catalog services. Physical catalog solutions from Edelweiss are expected to launch in Summer 2014.
