Abused Boy Reunited With Loving Father
Chicago, IL, January 4, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Leving Law Team celebrated another victory thanks to leading matrimonial attorneys Misty I. Gamino and Leslie Poole who successfully reunited a 14-year-old boy abused by his mother with his loving father in Illinois. The mother had moved to Texas in January of this year and the child was supposed to be returned to his dad in early August, but that didn’t happen. The mother has a history of abusing the boy by stripping him naked and whipping him with a belt. The firm’s attorneys successfully fought to return the boy safely to his father. Failure was not an option.
“Our firm’s mission is to fight for the safety and well-being of our clients and their children. Our attorneys argued that the court should return the child back to Illinois with his father and the judge agreed,” said attorney Jeffery M. Leving.

The boy lived with his father for the majority of his fourteen years but the mother wrongfully kept him out of Illinois in her possession despite the boy’s wishes to be returned home. She has been investigated by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services several times in the past; there was also an Order of Protection as far back as 2006 giving the father temporary possession. Now, the boy is back safe in his father’s loving home where he belongs.
Attorney Misty I. Gamino received her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. Gamino is a zealous advocate and proponent for Fathers' Rights and the welfare of children. She is a distinguished fellow of Kent's Child and Family Law Society who interned at The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. before becoming an award-winning family law litigator at the firm.
Attorney Leslie Poole has an extensive background of successfully representing clients in complex divorce and child custody matters. A highly skilled litigator, Poole is dedicated to protecting children and families, and fighting for results that positively impact their daily lives. As well as helping save this young boy from abuse, Poole is also very proud of having prevented one of his clients from being defrauded of millions of dollars from a marital estate and saving him from financial ruin.
