Academy Shapes Next Generation of College Speakers

The College Speakers academy teaches individuals how they can share a positive message in higher education communities through a two-day seminar.

AURORA, CO -- The College Speakers Academy (CSA) offers the opportunity to learn how to share a message, promote a cause and to help influence the next generations of leaders as an educational speaker at college campuses. The next academy is taking place in Atlanta, GA on April 3-4.

The event is sponsored by CAMPUSPEAK, the nation's premier agency representing campus speakers. Full-time campus speakers teach the realities and strategies of the higher education market and provide insight on being a successful speaker.

"College students are a special market," said T.J. Sullivan, CAMPUSPEAK CEO. "A lot of people think it would be great to speak at colleges, but like anything else, it helps if you understand how that market works before you start pursuing it."

CSA offers guidance on program development, marketing, and insight into the best practices and ethics of speaking on college campuses.

"You leave with loads of information and a strategic action plan to begin speaking at colleges," said Michele Jenkins, a coach and consultant who attended the event in 2010.

CAMPUSPEAK has been named Campus Activities Magazine "Agency of the Year" three times. Each year, the agency books more than 1,000 speaking dates on campuses across the nation.

Readers can get a $50 discount on registration by March 3, 2010 by using the discount code PRCSA1 when they register online at www.campuspeak.com/academy.

A second CSA event is being offered in Costa Mesa, CA the following weekend, April 10-11. For more information, call 303-745-5545.
