Accelerated Real Estate Services to Auction over 300 Acres in Florida

Accelerated Real Estate Services is set to auction over 300 prime Florida acres at the end of September.

With many developers holding large inventories of land and no end in sight of the burdensome carrying cost and exposure, they are seeking accelerated exit strategies. These developers are turning to the auction process to increase the exposure of the properties that they wish to dispose.

Robert Barber,CCIM ,of Accelerated Real Estate Services, believes that the only way to get a buyers attention for land in this market is to employ an auction process. "Buyers and sellers are struggling with the valuation of land. The only way to get to the price is to bring supply and demand forces to the property under an auction process," Barber said.

Currently, Accelerated Real Estate Services, is auction two prime Citrus County properties. One is a 315 acre residential tract that can accommodate over 1000 homes. There is also a 16 acre commercial parcel that is perfect for retail or professional services. Both these properties are in the heart of Citrus County and in the path of the expansion of the new nuclear facility at Crystal River. The new plant is predicted to bring over 3,000 new jobs to the area in the next two years. Both properties are being offered under a sealed bid auction ending Sept 30. "Inquiries have been steady with request for information coming through our website at aresauctions.com", Barber said.
