AccuZIP Successfully Completes Service Org Controls 2 (SOC 2) Report under AT Section 101 for Fourth Consecutive Year
ATASCADERO, CA, January 27, 2017 (Newswire.com) - AccuZIP, Inc., a national software company providing solutions to the mailing industry to streamline data management and the multi-channel communications process, announced on January 27, 2017 that it has successfully completed its Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) examination under AT Section 101, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards) for the fourth consecutive year. The examination was performed by an independent auditing firm.
Completion of the SOC 2 Type I examination indicates that selected AccuZIP, Inc. processes, procedures and controls have been formally evaluated and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm. The examination included the company’s controls related to the Trust Services Principles, Criteria for Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy.

A SOC 2 examination is performed in accordance with AT Section 101, Attest Engagements in accordance with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA, Professional Standards). SOC 2 is designated as an acceptable method for a user entity’s management to obtain assurance about service organization internal controls over Security, Availability and Confidentiality without conducting additional assessments.
A SOC 2 examination is widely recognized, because it represents that a service organization has been through an evaluation of their control activities as they relate to the applicable Trust Services Principles and Criteria.
