ACHS to Lead Two-Week Botanical Trek Into India's Remote Mountains

This once-in-a-lifetime trip focuses on India’s famous silk, spice, and sandalwood trades. Designed for aromatherapists, holistic health professionals, and wellness novices alike, this tours offers a unique opportunity to safely explore India’s rich botanical culture, past and present.
“On this trip, you’ll have a unique opportunity to explore this rugged region and immerse yourself in the rich aromatic and botanical culture of India,” says Dorene Petersen, who will be leading participants through a blend of lectures, workshops, and tours.
Traveling by guided coach, the tour will depart from Bangalore and travel through the Western Ghats to the breathtaking coast of Cochin. Travelers will have the opportunity to see India through the eyes of a wellness enthusiast, exploring:
- Ayurvedic medicine production and treatment methods

- Mountain tea plantations and a government-operated regenerating sandalwood forest
