Achtung Baby All Over Again

Online, November 22, 2011 (Newswire.com) - With Christmas getting close, what could be a more special gift than your most favorite artists - being re incarnated all over again? Well U2's Achtung baby and its 20th anniversary edition is the most elaborately recreated deluxe retrospective available this fall. U2 this year is back with a bang and mostly famous for its fashion statements; the group provides its fans an assembly of options to pick from.

The twin CD "Deluxe edition" shall suffice in the first place, that features the original album, re-visited and re-mastered. The second disc comprises of remixed versions covering the Achtung Baby period quite gracefully, with least signs of being over done. Apart from this there are other versions too like the "Super Deluxe" and the "Uber Deluxe" versions that contain six discs and four DVDs. The pack is expensive but if you need a reason to own the pricy box, it should in the first place be the 20th anniversary edition and the inclusion of "From the Sky Down." This one is a very good documentary spanning to around 90 minutes and features the making of the Achtung Baby.

Achtung Baby is a musical turning point, as it paved new way for the industrial era and for the band too. Achtung Baby initially came as a response to the backlash that U2 faced, they were perceived as populist and self centered group who believed in pompous acts; their Rattle and Hum, was a disaster and could not shut critics' mouths, and rather put them off due to the self congratulatory tone it had. It is thus indeed an effort of the band to get a firm placing on the ground which was initially torn down into pieces.
