ACT-IAC Selects 24 "Rising Stars" for 6th Voyagers Class

The American Council for Technology (ACT) - Industry Advisory Council (IAC) today announced the selection of 24 "Rising Stars" to its 2011 Voyagers Program.

FAIRFAX, Va. - The American Council for Technology (ACT) - Industry Advisory Council (IAC) today announced the selection of 24 "Rising Stars" to its 2011 Voyagers Program. The Voyagers Program is a highly competitive leadership development program for mid-level professionals that pairs government and industry professionals together over a nine-month program, preparing them for future leadership roles within their agency or business.

Identified as future leaders in the government technology community, applicants must be nominated by their agency or company. The Voyager Program applications describe the nominee's experience, leadership savvy, and future aspirations. A panel of Government and industry senior executives reviews and scores each applicant prior to selecting the final Voyager class. The 2011 application year was the second straight record setting year for the number of nominations received.

Upon graduation the graduates will become members of the distinguished ACT-IAC Fellows Program (Alumni of both the Voyagers and Partners Programs). ACT-IAC Fellows, representing some of the brightest minds within the Government technology community, are committed to life-long leadership development, trusted collaboration, and working together to solve government's biggest IT challenges.
