Addiction: Finding Hope

Local videographer starts Kickstarter campaign to complete documentary series on addiction recovery.

CINCINNATI – Families torn apart. Communities overwhelmed. Lives destroyed.

These are all the cause and effects of addiction.

It doesn’t have to be that way. There is hope for those entrapped by this disease. That hope can be found in those who are overcoming addiction.

Local videographer Shane Reinert is working to spread the word of this hope in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area by sharing stories of those who are working toward recovery. Reinert has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise $3,000 to support the project.

The project is a series of interviews in a documentary style which will air on TV in Cincinnati and also be placed online.

The videos will highlight individuals who have overcome addiction such as drugs and alcohol.

“I’m undertaking this project to encourage families and individuals who are dealing with addiction,” Reinert said. “I appreciate any help with making this project a reality.” 

Reinert, a resident of Bethel, is a producer of Haunted in Ohio and Candlelight By Night. He has 15 years of experience in broadcast television.
