The South Australian Tourism Awards, which recognise and promote business excellence in tourism are managed by the South Australian Tourism Industry Council (SATIC). The award ceremony is held annually and forms part of the Australian Tourism Awards. This year's awards covered a range of categories, from five star international hotels to bed and breakfasts, events, festivals and wineries. The most outstanding entry in each category was then judged to pronounce a winner. As winners in the GOLD category, Adelaide Hills Country Cottages will now compete in the national Australian Tourism Awards.
