ADHD Runs Rampant on University of Wisconsin Campus in February 2011
Online, January 30, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Mastering Your ADHD - a seminar series for teens and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder returns to the University of Wisconsin February 15th, 2011.
The seminar series is the brainchild of Madison's own Nick Mortensen- 2-time winner of Wisconsin' Funniest Comedian, himself an ADHD sufferer.
"Mastering Your ADHD was born after I read a number of books on ADHD that I'd purchased secondhand. Despite being "used", most of the books had never been read." Explains creator Nick Mortensen. "A hallmark of ADHD is starting new projects without following through. I think the information on ADHD is too valuable, so I started discussing it in my standup act."
"I was curious why there weren't any Tony Robbins types within the ADHD community. So I set about the task of becoming the Tony Robbins of ADHD, only with comedic elements. Mastering Your ADHD is what has developed."
Mortensen has put his promising career as a comedian on hold to focus his attention on this project and it seems to be paying off. Partnering with the University of Wisconsin adds a bit of prestige to the program, which begins February 15th, 2011 and is open to the public as well as students.
