ADVANCE and ADA Form Editorial Alliance

ADVANCE for Audiologists, a national resource that offers strategies for business profitability and growth to audiologists, has established an editorial alliance with the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA).

With the formation of this alliance, the ADA will begin providing a regular column in ADVANCE. The theme of the column, which will begin in the May-June 2010 issue, will be issues in private practice. Additionally, all qualified ADA members have the opportunity to receive every issue of ADVANCE for Audiologists for free.

The ADA is dedicated to advancing practitioner excellence, professional autonomy, high ethical standards and sound business practices in the provision of quality audiologic care. Audiologists and students who are or who desire to be autonomous practitioners in whatever setting they choose to practice look to the ADA for programming and support.

"ADVANCE for Audiologists and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology share many common interests," stated Judi Biederman, ADVANCE for Audiologists editor. "Of particular interest is the ADA's focus on business issues and advocacy of practice ownership, as it supports the ADVANCE editorial mission of providing strategies for growth and profitability to audiologists in private practice. With this partnership, I welcome the chance to share the expertise of ADA and its members with ADVANCE readers."

ADA President, Tabitha Parent Buck, Au.D., stated, "ADA is proud to be serving as a regular contributor to ADVANCE for Audiologists. Both ADVANCE and ADA have an established history of delivering valuable information to private practitioners. This collaboration expands the opportunities for both organizations to provide timely and relevant resources to ADA members and autonomous audiologists everywhere."
