Advanced Groundlings Perform And Produce Two-Woman Comedy Sketch
Online, July 1, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Up and coming actresses and advanced Groundlings Carolina Duncan and Michael O'Hara wrote, produced and will star in an original comedy sketch, "Chronic Fatigue" on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.
The two-woman show will feature original comedic writing by Duncan and O'Hara. Billed as "witty banter, sketch comedy and improvisation", the show builds on the training the two received in Groundlings as well as past comedic sketches written by each of them. Their comedy shows a new approach by women in humor; it's not all about men, love and sex.
Duncan and O'Hara have been described as the perfect combination of Kristen Wiig and Chelsea Handler. Individually and together, they are the next big laugh in comedy.
Duncan graduated from Virginia Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. O'Hara graduated University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society and Black Studies. O'Hara's liberal background compliments Duncan's conservative Virginia roots to produce a highly unlikely yet hilarious and inappropriate take on life.
The pair met during Basic Groundlings class. After passing the Basic level, they took the Intermediate Groundlings together. After passing they teamed up to write their two-woman sketch show as well as additional videos for Duncan's YouTube channel, cdh323.
Both Duncan and O'Hara can be seen in "Funny Or Die" videos and will be starring together in upcoming online commercials. Look for much more from this hilarious and driven pair of actresses.
The show will be held at the Neon Venus Theatre at 7023 Melrose Ave, Hollywood, CA from 10:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
