Online, March 13, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Phoenix, AZ - (WORLD WIDE RELEASE) - Advanced Motion Measurement is proud to announce Phil Cheetham's election to the board of the World Scientific Congress of Golf.
Phil Cheetham, senior sport technologist for the US Olympic Committee, co-founder of Advanced Motion Measurement, Inc and director of biomechanics for the Titleist Performance Institute has been elected to the board of the World Scientific Congress of Golf. This group is well recognized as the leading research group in golf science. Conferences are held generally every four years. The original conferences were held at the home of golf, St Andrews, Scotland. The latest conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona in March, 2012. Proceedings are published in the well-known "Science in Golf" series of books. Phil will be doing a presentation at this conference on "Golf in the Olympics" since golf is now an Olympic sport to debut in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.
Phil commented, "I am very excited to be part of this quality group. I believe I can contribute significantly in the areas of biomechanics research and technology to help our athletes attain peak performance in the 2016 Olympics."
About Advanced Motion Measurement, Inc.
AMM develops and sells full-body 3D motion analysis systems for diagnosis and training of efficient body motion in the swing. The systems run on electromagnetic, inertial motion capture platforms and incorporate the comprehensive biomechanics reports called TPI 3D. TPI 3D has been jointly developed by Dr. Greg Rose, Phil Cheetham and the TPI Biomechanics Advisory Board to revolutionize and standardize the way that 3D biomechanics is used to measure and train the efficiency of the body during the swing. Its primary purpose is to display and quantify the kinematic sequence; a scientific method of reviewing timing, sequencing and energy transfer from one body segment to the next. Performance enhancement is much easier to realize with this precise scientific data.
