Adventurers Will Appreciate Upcoming FEBC Global Travel Assistance Benefit

Surfers, snowboarders, rock climbers, mountaineers and all kinds of adventurers know that some of the best places to play in the great outdoors may be far from home. Whether exploring the United States or traveling abroad, adventure means risk. That’s all part of the fun, after all. But when an accident happens, the fun goes out the window. Financial Education Benefits Center (FEBC), a membership benefits company, will be offering a global travel assistance benefit to eligible members to help out in case adventure goes awry.

“I know better than anyone how stressful it can be when you’re traveling and you get hurt,” said Brandon Frere, CEO of FEBC. “I fractured my foot while traveling in Southeast Asia and I would’ve loved to have a benefit like this one available to me.”

FEBC is rolling out this benefit because we want to address the needs of the traveler and the adventurer. I think that's a great thing.

Brandon Frere, CEO of Financial Education Benefits Center

Global travel assistance is a benefit that helps coordinate matters related to care, transportation, payment and insurance associated with injury or illness. It is not insurance, nor does it cover any medical care or treatment expenses of any kind.

Whether it’s a fractured wrist from snowboarding or a deep laceration from surfing, global travel assistance is there to make getting care even easier. Eligible members will be able to call a number 24/7 to use the benefit.

“I am a huge fan of dirt bikes and motorcycles. I love sports of all kinds, but we all know they come with a risk,” said Frere. “FEBC is rolling out this benefit because we want to address the needs of the traveler and the adventurer. I think that’s a great thing.”
