Africana Children's Education Fund Receives $1 Donation Per IPhone and IPod Case Sold From AlienCase

AlienCase.com, an online retail store selling accessories for mobile devices, has partnered with Africana Children's Education Fund, Inc., to help build a school for orphans in Ghana, West Africa.

There are literally thousands of children who are abandoned, homeless, hungry, abused and missing education worldwide. In bad economic times, children in least developed countries and territories are forgotten and go without adequate food, healthcare, education and training necessary for successful living. Approximately 10 million children around the world who are under the age of 5 die every year from preventable diseases and the HIV epidemic.

In response to this critical issue, AlienCase.com - the one-stop online shop that offers the largest selection of gadget cases, covers and accessories - is taking a bold step to help among the most needy populations on earth: African orphans. AlienCase.com is partnering with Africana Children's Educational Fund (ACEF) to address the needs of these African children.

ACEF is a public charity organization that was created in an effort to meet the survival and developmental needs of orphaned, abandoned and homeless children in the developing countries, especially in Africa, the Caribbean and South America. ACEF is seeking sponsors who will provide for the critical needs of these children such as food, clothing, housing, education and medical care. ACEF has also started the operation of orphanages to streamline and direct the education of orphans and to provide loving care.

AlienCase.com calls on its customers to support ACEF by purchasing at least one of their iPhone 4 cases, an iPod or iPad case. AlienCase.com has the largest selection of iPhone 4 cases and iPad cases available online. The online store is donating to ACEF a dollar for every gadget case sold. This portion of AlienCase.com's sales will be used to assist in the building of a boarding school in Ghana for orphans and abandoned children. The school - New Age School for Orphans and Abandoned Children will be located in Offinso, Ghana, a village of about 10 thousand people.

The residential school construction will cost around US$2,500,000 and includes: dormitories for boy and girls, library, auditorium, computer center, a nursing station, kitchen, dining hall, playgrounds, classrooms, a church, two electrical generators, and self-contained water supply. A 10-acre land for this project was acquired 10 years ago, but due to lack of funds, construction has not started yet.

AlienCase.com is also accepting donations of K-12 books, 200 laptop computers, two electric generators to power the school, and volunteers who have time to travel to live there and contribute skilled labor at the construction site for any length of time convenient for them.
