After Christmas Sales 2011
Online, January 2, 2012 (Newswire.com) - With Christmas winding up yesterday night, most stores have come up with After Christmas Sales. These are similar to Black Friday Sales and provide a good opportunity for the consumers to avail great deals for a number of products including apparels and accessories. The major names that participate in these sales are Wal-Mart, Sears, Best Buy, Toys R US and alike.
After Christmas sales offer great advantages to shoppers who like to indulge completely into the deals of the day. This year popularly called "Mega Monday", sale at major malls is luring even the most rigid of customer. This sale is the third busiest sale in the year, and major crowds of consumers are expected to flock the mega stores for mega deals.
The day after Christmas is also vital because lots of people exchange gifts, thus creating room for record breaking sales this year. However most store counters are also preparing themselves for a massive exchange request and thus getting flooded with merchandise already sold.
The popularity of after Christmas sales makes buyers save and wait for 26th December, just as we all wait for the Christmas; certainly, who would not love to buy the same stuff at throw prices? Moreover last year's figures for a week long sale that extended till the New Year's Eve, was recorded at $ 469.1 billion, as reported by National Retail Federation. This amounts to an enormous boost in the otherwise sluggish trending spending pattern of the consumer in general.
Most stores have ramped up their staff capacity and operational flows, in order to meet the requirements of the flooding sale period. They have also announced revised store timings. Wal-Mart for instance kicks off at 5:00 am and will remain until 10:00 pm. Similarly Best Buy remains open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. There are other major stores like Targets, Marcy's and others too lined for the season's biggest sale.
