Agents of Change Tour Launches in Boston
First in series of national public events brings community, artists, and entrepreneurs together
Online, March 18, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Agents of Change Tour, a year-long national tour exploring the impact of creativity and collaboration on local communities, artists, and entrepreneurs, launches this week with its inaugural event Wednesday, March 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Workbar, 711 Atlantic Ave.
Hosted by Boston-based entrepreneur and author, Ja-Nae Duane, in partnership with Workbar, Hold on Another Day, New Leaf Legal, Rockethub, Starbucks, Our Revolution, Wild Women Entrepreneurs, and the Revolution Factory, this event features live performances by Duane and local artists Eric Leva and Amory Siverston; as well as food and drink, and creative activities to spark conversation. The public is invited to attend. The event is free, but donations to fund further stops of the tour are encouraged. Register at http://agentsofchangeboston.eventbrite.com/.
Duane hopes this event and each event on the upcoming tour will shed light on the factors driving economic development and social change in communities in order to create resources for collaboration on a larger scale.
"I'm so excited to launch the Agents of Change Tour in Boston," says Duane. "There are a number of artists, entrepreneurs and businesses doing great work in our city. We're creating and innovating in really positive ways, but we're not always aware of how others are driving change, too, and how we might work better together. That's true in many cities and this tour is a fun opportunity to open communication and spark collaboration."
Wednesday's launch party also marks the official start to the Agents of Change Kickstarter Campaign, a 30 day campaign to raise 10,000 dollars toward the upcoming tour. To contribute to the campaign, or for more information on the tour, visit http://theagentsofchange.net.
