Aileen Quinn, the two-time Golden Globe nominated and Platinum album selling artist, who played Annie” in the John Huston directed, 1982 film, Annie”, has just released her highly anticipated, debut album, ‘Spin Me’ with her band, The Leapin’ Lizards.

Internationally famous for her “Annie” role, this triple threat singer, actress and dancer previously recorded the multi-Platinum “Annie” Soundtrack and a solo album, “Bobby’s Girl”, produced by Barbra Streisand/Dolly Parton producer, Gary Klein.

After a successful appearance on Access Hollywood and The Meredith Vieira Show, introducing the band and her new project, Aileen set about writing and recording the album. Recorded this past year at Pacifica Studios in Los Angeles, Quinn’s band, The Leapin’ Lizards, features, Tom Murray, on drums and vocals, Matt Pensabene, on stand-up bass, Frank Giffen, on guitar and vocals, Jorge Reyes, on sax and John Piechowski, on harmonica.

Quinn, who along with drummer, Murray, co-wrote and co-produced the bulk of the album, says “this album has been such a labor of love for me, and I hope the listeners will feel the same joy and passion I felt while singing each note.” She also co-wrote and co-produced two tracks with bassist Matt Pensabene and a third track with Glen Nishida.

From the opening invitation of “You’ve gotta spin me to win me, to the heartfelt, closing sentiments of “Believe”, this album takes the listener on a high-octane-fueled ride through Swing, Rockabilly, Blues and even a hint of Jazz and Country. Album cuts like “The Doctor Is In” which describes a well healed lover, and “When All Hell Breaks Loose”, which shows determination against all odds, all fit together beautifully to relate a personal journey through life’s peaks and valleys.
