AIRRAID4 - Asia's Premier IT-Security Tournament Returns To Singapore On 9 November 2012
THINKSECURE PTE LTD and SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC will jointly organize AIRRAID4, Asia's biggest and most comprehensive IT-Security tournament yet on 9 November 2012.
Online, July 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - THINKSECURE PTE LTD ("ThinkSECURE") and SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC ("SP") will jointly organize AIRRAID4, Asia's biggest and most comprehensive IT-security tournament yet this coming 9 November 2012.
Designed by ThinkSECURE and hosted by SP for both established and new IT professionals whose core job function is IT-security, AIRRAID4 ( http://airraid4.securitystartshere.org ) is a cutting-edge, integrated-approach IT-security tournament that will provide participants with a fully-immersive, real-world, fun and legitimate environment in which to pit their wireless/wired network and application auditing/penetration-testing skills against each other by engaging a real-world infrastructure which is specially designed to mirror an enterprise-class, multi-segmented corporate wired and wireless network complete with multiple application server farm targets.
AIRRAID4 is the fourth evolution of ThinkSECURE's AIRRAID(tm) brand of IT-security tournament design.
The original AIRRAID (http://airraid.securitystartshere.org), Asia's first-ever pure wireless IT-security tournament, was first held in Singapore in 2005.
AIRRAID2 (http://airraid2.securitystartshere.org) which was Thailand's first ever large-scale public IT-security tournament, was held in Bangkok in 2008.
AIRRAID3 (http://airraid3.securitystartshere.org), Asia's largest and most comprensive IT-security tournament setup by infrastructure at the time, was held in 2010 at Singapore Polytechnic.
The AIRRAID(tm) brand of IT-security tournament design has also been implemented and run in OEM format for various large events in 2011 and 2012.
"AIRRAID4 continues our tradition of giving back to the Asian IT-security community. Many IT-security professionals rarely get a chance to do some real, unrestricted and legally-sanctioned hands-on penetration-testing and system auditing as part of their job function. Our purpose-built tournament infrastructure mirrors an extensive corporate wireless, wired and application network which provides these IT-security professionals a unique opportunity to give the pentester in them a full body workout by employing all their skills to meet the difficult and comprehensive storyline-based in-game challenges that we've put in place," said Mr. Julian Ho, ThinkSECURE's Head of Operations.
ThinkSECURE is the premier practical IT-security certification and training body for technical IT-security professionals in Asia.
SP is ThinkSECURE's local Educational Authorized Training Center in Singapore. SP also offers a full-time diploma course in Infocomm Security Management at its School of Digital Media and Infocomm Technology (DMIT)
