Airtel & the Economic Times 'Global Business Summit' Announces Its 2nd Edition on 29-30 January 2016

The Global Business Summit does not just outline the road map for global economic growth, it scripts it.

New Delhi, India, January, 2016 – It was at The Economic Times Global Business Summit 2015 that the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri NarendraModi, outlined his grand economic and development vision for the country for the first time. It was also at this event that the Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman referred to India as ‘a country of the future’.

Following the tremendous success of this debut, Airtel and The Economic Times have come together once again to bring the second edition of ‘Airtel and The Economic Times Global Business Summit’. The two-day summit to be held at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi on January 29 and 30, 2016 promises to bring together over 1500 business and political leaders, policymakers and thinkers from more than 10 countries.

As India assumes a greater role in Asia and global affairs, the summit will gather thought leaders and visionaries from across the world to enable a captivating dialogue on solutions to pressing global economic issues and share best practices to resolve these concerns. Built around the theme 'Rules of The New Global Economic Order: Innovate, Integrate & Accelerate’, the two-day conference will provide a forum for experts to bring to light economic, trade and investment challenges and opportunities, which will define the coming decade.

Among other key attractions, this year’s summit will host renowned economist and strategic thinker Dr. NourielRoubini, who will share his outlook on the developed and emerging markets and India’s role on the global stage. Another stellar participant at the summit will be Hon’ble Kathleen Wynne, a Canadian politician who is also the 25th Premier of Ontario. The summit is an integral part of Kathleen’s 2016 India visit, aimed at fostering opportunities for trade and investment collaboration between Ontario and India.

The two-day long discourse would also witness thoughtful deliberation and discussion by leading international business leaders and thinkers such as Mr. Dominic Barton, Global Chairman, McKinsey; Mr. Hans Paul Buerkner, CEO, Boston Consulting Group, besides ace Indian industrialists like Mr.Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Enterprises; Mr. Sanjiv Mehta, CEO, Unilever; Mr. Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Group, etc.
