AIT Introduces PowerBCM® 2.0 - Improved Real-Time Monitoring for Co-Lo Hosted Data Centres (DCIM)
PowerBCM® 2.0, a secure web based solution for the colocation / hosted data centre industry now has the ability to monitor power circuit readings in realtime, along with offering clients a personal log in to see rack data. Easily deployable and able to monitor any standard of 3rd party metering equipment, PowerBCM® is a far more affordable solution to many offered by large hardware manufacturers
Reading, United Kingdom, August 5, 2015 (Newswire.com) - AIT Partnership Group Ltd, the leading UK integrator of Data Centre Infrastructure Management Services & Software (DCIM) has announced the improved real-time monitoring capabilities of PowerBCM® 2.0.
PowerBCM® is a real-time monitoring solution developed to address the needs of co-lo hosting providers. PowerBCM® is a robust, secure, web based system that solves the challenge of monitoring power circuit readings both across the site for providers and at the rack level for individual customers.
PowerBCM® 2.0 is a really cost effective solution for any co-lo provider that wants to provide their customers with real-time data on power consumption and temperature in their racks. It provides exactly what co-lo providers need at a fraction of the cost of other solutions.
Steve Bailey, Managing Director, AIT Partnership Group Ltd
The new features of PowerBCM® 2.0 include:
-
The ability to collect kWh data from 3rd party smart meters outputting Modbus and SNMP, including PDUs, branch circuit meters and rack PDUs
- The integration of temperature and environmental sensors into interactive floor plans with thermal mapping
- Secure customer login to view only their rack power and environmental data in an easy to use GUI
The ability to monitor any standards based 3rd party metering equipment means PowerBCM® can easily replace less agile and more expensive software from hardware vendors. The code has been developed and written by AITs in-house agile consultancy team which means that it can be quickly tailored to suit specific requirements.
Steve Bailey, Managing Director of AIT Partnership Group stated, "PowerBCM® 2.0 is a really cost effective solution for any co-lo provider that wants to provide their customers with real-time data on power consumption and temperature in their racks. It provides exactly what co-lo providers need at a fraction of the cost of other solutions"
