Akadema Praying Mantis Catching Gear Taking Industry By Storm
Online, June 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Hawthorne, NJ - June 8, 2010 - Before the 2010 baseball season, Akadema unveiled its first line of catcher's equipment: the Praying Mantis catching gear. The full set of gear consists of helmet, chest shield and shin pads. The hockey style helmet is available in both small and large. The small fits size 6" to 7" and the large fits 7" to 7.75". Akadema's chest shield combines protection and flexibility using its lightweight and ultra form fitting design. Three sizes are available for the chest shield: small (14" long), intermediate (16" long), and large (17.5" long). Shin pads make up the third and final piece of the catcher's equipment. The shin pads, which come in three sizes, are extremely light and flexible enabling the catcher to move with ease and get to every pitch. Sizes available for Akadema's shin pads are small (13" long), intermediate (15" long), and large (17.25" long). Praying Mantis catching gear sized intermediate and large are available in four colors: black, navy, red, and royal. Small sized catching gear is only available in black. The equipment has been widely reviewed and received critical acclaim. Newberry College Head Baseball Coach, Bob Rikeman, stated, "This equipment is the best we've seen. It's lightweight and durable. We wouldn't use anything but Akadema."
