Alameda Beauty College Hosts First Annual Fantasy Hair Show

Alameda Beauty College is showcasing its students' skills and creativity at an event to raise money to fight against domestic violence.

Alameda Beauty College will be hosting its first annual Fantasy Hair Show at Alameda High School in Alameda, on Saturday evening June 15, to benefit the California Partnership to End Against Domestic Violence.

"The show allows our students to show off their creativity and passion for the industry and also helps give back to the community to help raise awareness in the fight against domestic violence" said Marsha Griego, Education Director at Alameda Beauty College. "Students who train at ABC are constantly being challenged to flex their creative muscles as well as give back to the community and the Fantasy Hair Show is one more example of the unique opportunities offered here."

Over 100 students have spent weeks preparing for the show and will be modeling hair and makeup in a variety of "fantasy" categories with an emphasis on music genres.

One hundred percent of the revenue generated from ticket sales is donated directly to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (cpedv.org). Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at Alameda Beauty College: 2318 Central Avenue in Alameda, or for $15 at the door on the night of the event. Doors open at 6:00 at Alameda High School Kofman Auditorium, 2000 Central Avenue in Alameda.
