Alan Lescht Has Been Recognized Among the Top in His Industry by the Expert Network©

The Expert Network celebrates its newest member, Attorney Alan Lescht

Alan Lescht, Founder & Managing Shareholder, Alan Lescht and Associates, P.C., has joined The Expert Network©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Lescht has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout his career.

Lescht outshines others in his field due to his extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. He obtained his B.A. in Political Science and Government from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University, Juris Doctor in 1987. Since then, he has been acknowledged by prestigious organizations such as Super Lawyers, Top Ten Leaders, and Avvo, and is AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Lescht has also been quoted in Government Executive, Newsweek, Washingtonian, and Washington Post, among others.

As the Baby Boomer generation ages, we're seeing more and more cases involving disability discrimination and medical leave issues. We have an aging workforce because people are working longer than they used to. As a result, they need time off to take care of the issues that naturally arise as you age. A lot of companies don't like to have anyone rock the boat by taking time off here or taking time off there. We see people getting fired for this kind of thing all the time. The federal government laws are changing every day, but they're just not quite keeping up.

With more than 30 years of experience dedicated to law, Lescht brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his area of specialization, federal government and private sector employee representation. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in law, Lescht said:

"I think I was always attracted to the idea of being able to stand up for people. Even today, knowing that people are being taken advantage of is what pushes me to keep fighting harder."

As a thought-leader in his field, Lescht has a unique position from which to view developments in US employment law. In particular, he has noticed that as the workforce ages employment law has been lagging behind:

"As the Baby Boomer generation ages, we’re seeing more and more cases involving disability discrimination and medical leave issues. We have an aging workforce because people are working longer than they used to. As a result, they need time off to take care of the issues that naturally arise as you age —their own medical issues as well as those of their aging parents. A lot of companies don’t like to have anyone rock the boat by taking time off here or taking time off there. We see people getting fired for this kind of thing all the time. The federal government laws are changing every day, but they’re just not quite keeping up."
